wierd thoughts

Have you ever seen a dog dreaming? I was watching one sleep the other day and the way it snorted occasiuonally made me think it was dreaming. If dogs do what about other animals? What would a chicken dream about? A Monkey? Cow? Do you think animals can think about thier lives or thier futures? How depressing that would be. A lobster knowing it was going to be cooked and eaten. A squirrel looking at roadkill. What if they could learn to speak our language? What would they tell us? How badly do most species hate humans. I bet they'd learn swearword quick. Would we listen if they could talk?

I get the privilege of seeing a dog dream every night. Paisley the puppy is very twitchy in her REM state. She runs a lot in her sleep and kicks me awake. She even sometimes talks in her sleep. She makes little grunting sounds and yipps while she steals all the sheats. It's funny stuff!!

Well, if the animals do start to talk, and possibly revolt, I'd be left alive. I have a good feelin they like vegetarians.

Even though they are not considered animals, the plight of the goldfish may comfort you. His memory span is only 3 seconds. Maybe he dreams of the fact that he keeps forgetting that he keeps forgetting things.

Babushka,
I like to think that the dogs and other animals are having happy dreams, at least most of the time. Although if they did have nightmares every night it might explain why they have such sort life spans.
The fact that we live longer might be the only thing that keeps the humans alive if they ever do learn to speak to us.
